Anti-McCain Roundup

I wasn't the only one that took notice of McCain's (lack of) foreign policy last week. Two observers question the unquestionable and dare to conclude negative things about the Arizona Senator's foreign policy prowess. Taking a more holistic perspective, Frank Rich finally pierces the "happy warrior-maverick" image and demands to know what and who the new McCain stands for. Finally, C&L picks up on a recurring theme: Republicans essentially don't have a vision or coherent ideological program for governing the United States, as evidenced by direct questions to a couple of their most popular party-mates. But despite all of this blather, McCain has already won, since Barack was supposed make a landslide happen like four weeks ago.
